i then replaced the audio-headphone jack and that didnt solve the problem. It thinks about it, then blips back to the ever-present apple logo again. After i uninstalled everything when i try and reinstall itunes, midway through it says "service 'apple mobile device' (apple mobile device) failed to start. Leave it plugged in. 1- Go to Control Panel 2- Open "System" 3- Click "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manager" 4- Find and maximize "Universal Serial Bus controllers" 5- Right click But we need your help.

i mean they are made in China....BUT DESIGNED IN CALIFORNIA!! The iPod was not seen in iTunes or My Computer. I tunes is currently "verifying" my I pod which previously just crashed itunes every time I plugged it in... If the iPod hangs on this screen for long periods of time, you may need a new battery.
