Haven't uninstalled the Realtek PCIe GBE family controller driver. Thus, having network connectivity without all normal installed items loading...says to me that something is interfering with connectivity. I'm trying to restore it to factory settings now, hopefully that works... I had to turn off by the power button, turned it on again a few times and gets to desktop then freezes, mouse can move around sometimes but keeps 'thinking' and I did a system restore back to before I had installed any software and it still froze up with no third party software. As I said it is an old laptop so I would hate to put in alot of money in it.
Win7, fresh instal, basic drivers are the only things on my comp. Somewhat concerned about doing that while it can't look for a new driver online though it probably wouldn't need to.
